JANUARY NEWSLETTER

The January 12, 2010 meeting of the Central New York Car Club Association was called to order at 7:00 PM by Dennis Connor, President.

For those clubs who have not yet paid their Car Club Association dues, as of February 1st, a $5 late fee will be added to the unpaid dues.  The cost will now be $40.  A renewal form is attached for your convenience.  Show dates are due as soon as possible to enable the show schedule to be completed in a timely manner.  Please provide Aric with your date.

We heard about the International Auto Showcase that will be in the Hortriculture building at the Fairgrounds on March 27th & 28th.  Set up will be on Friday.  The show will be from 11-9 on Saturday, and 11-5 on Sunday.  Applications are available on www.internationalasc.com.  Judges and schedule will be the same as last year.  If you judged last year and do not want to judge this year, let Dennis know.

Regarding the Syracuse Nationals, Gene Winfield will be at the Nationals.  He will be picking his choice for the top six Chop & Channel awards.  There will also be 3-4 awards picked by Dave Tucci.  More information will follow.

There is still space available for the Right Coast Cruise on March 21st.   It will be a 7 day cruise.  There will be 2 get togethers on the ship.  There are 20 cabins booked so far.   They have already started on the planning for the 2011 cruise.  If you are interested, contact George DeRousie at 668-2010.

The Ford Club will be going to the Ford Nationals at Carlisle.  If you are interested in going, contact Dennis Connor by the first week of March.  There are a few rooms available ($109 night).

Dennis taped an appearance on Joe Cali’s radio show.  He talked about how government is affecting the hobby.  He is not sure when it will be broadcast.

Our condolences to the family and friends of Bob Davenport of the Oneida Lake AACA.  He will be missed.

The Treasurer’s report was read and placed on file.

The 50/50 of $26 was won by Dick Lang of the CNY PT Cruisers.
