The June 9, 2009 meeting of the Central New York Car Club
Association was called to order at 7:00 PM by Dennis Connor,
President.
Bob O’Connor mentioned that he has more signs to pass out if anyone needs any. The town of Salina is having their 200 year anniversary on August 2nd. There will be a parade starting at the old drive in on Old Liverpool Road at 1:00 pm and ending at the Town Hall on School Road. They are looking for classic cars and need to know by June 18th. Contact Dennis if you are interested in participating. There will be a cruise every Friday night at the bowling alley in Oswego near the racetrack on Shampine Drive. The Juneteenth celebration in Syracuse on Saturday, June 13th is looking for three classic convertibles to join in their celebration. It will be from 9:00 am to 11:30am at the Dr. King School on Castle Street. Let Dennis know if you are interested. The Fun in the Sun Blowout at Lonergan Park in North Syracuse is June 20th from 11:00 am until dark. They need classic cars. There will be live music. If you are interested in participating, email higherlivingministries@yahoo.com. There will be a fundraiser for Gary Winchell on Sunday, August 9th at the Cicero American Legion on Rt. 31 near the post office to cover medical expenses. If weather permits, bring your classic cars. Advance sale tickets will be $15, $20 at the door. Registration forms for the Nationals will be going out in the mail this week. For those clubs with vehicles in the Toyota Building, send your list to the GM Kruzzers at gmkruzzers@netzero.com, or mail to Terri Reardon at 9450 Brewerton Road, Brewerton, NY 13029 no later than June 27th. The East Syracuse-Minoa High School Automotive Technology Club headed by Ryan Beckley, is having the 5th annual ESM Cruise-in on Saturday, June 13th, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. They are located at 6400 Fremont Road in East Syracuse. The Technology Club is raffling off their class project, which is a 69 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Tribute car. Tickets will be available at the cruise. They are $10, or three for $25. If you want to show your car, there is a $10 entry fee (will go towards the purchase of next year’s project car). Oakley from the Cruisin Buddies.
